OSCAR NOMINEES LUNCHEON 2009

MONDAY - PART 1

OSCAR NOMINEES LUNCHEON
Anne Hathaway. What a cute dress, I like it when she wears her hair this way.

Kate Winslet. Great look for her and the fit is great, but I'm not sure about that gold chain. At first I liked it, but now I think it's a little misplaced.

Amy Adams. Nice to see her in such a bright color.

Penelope Cruz. As much as I love this suit on her, part of me feels like she should have dressed up a touch more.

Viola Davis. Another great look for her, I love this burnt orange color on her.

Marisa Tomei. I love this, probably what Penelope should have worn. Understated, but elegant at the same time.

Taraji P. Henson. She totally pulled this look off except for the matchy matchy shoes.

61st ANNUAL DGA AWARDS
Freida Pinto. I have the feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of her, even after the whole Slumdog Millionaire hype subsides.

Lisa Edelstein. The shoes are a bit much.

Amy Adams in Jasmine De Milo. I don't think this look is for her.

Viola Davis in Herve Leger. I'm having a bit of a love/hate relationship with this dress.

Terri Seymour. That hair should not be worn to an award show, sorry Terri.

Michelle Monaghan. At first I thought it was Dries Van Noten. I prefer the runway look overall to Michelle's.

Jamie King. It's okay.

Taraji P. Henson. She looks okay, but I prefer her in brighter colors.

Rachel Griffiths. I'm always a sucker for the Greek toga look.

Claire Danes in Temperley London. If you want to look fun, hip yet put together wear Temperley, one of my favorite designers.

Marisa Tomei. the best of the night no doubt, mainly because of the accessories.

GOYA CINEMA AWARDS
IN MADRID
Every now and then I like to see what's going on fashion wise around the world and I have to say I was blown away by the fashions at the Goya Awards.

Penelope Cruz. I've always been a fan of lace and nude together if done right.

Monica Cruz. It's not really working for me, but it's not bad either.

Paz Vega. One of my favorite looks at the Goya awards. She looked angelic but edgy at the same time.

Clara Lago. I've always loved this Dior dress, but it definitely isn't flattering on just anyone.

Maribel Verdu. Love love love!

I love Penelope. And though she could have dressed it bit up. I still think that's elegant in the right way.
