F.B.A. Drama
You may or may not know that I'm not one to complain or bitch about this sort of stuff, but I don't like it when people take, copy and steal my ideas to a tea. This person didn't even bother giving me any credit or advising me via email. Annoying considering how hard I worked for two months to put this together.

Hi Monica,
I didn't mind you doing your own awards, THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM! I was upset that you had copied my format literally because I know it's something that me and my boyfriend had come up with while bouncing ideas off each other for the F.B.A.s . I wouldn't have minded had you just left me a message or email telling me what you were going to use this format.On that note I'm sorry I got angry and snapped I must have been in a bad mood that day, but I was very shocked when I saw your blog. Taking ideas are fine, it's not like I don't do it myself, but it needs to be done in moderation, more understated and less obvious. Keep up the great work you do on your blog and thanks for the apologies. Best of luck with everything,

Copying the WHOLE post is soo stupid. The least she could have done is delete some of the ones she didnt like!
There's also a blogger who's going around copying whole posts from here and there and posting them as her own.

I knew of her blog before
but I saw an icon for her blogger awards on somebody's site and I thought'How interesting' and clicked on it and that's when I saw that she had copied everything I did including the voting format.
I hate when that happens..it happened to me too..I had this competition on my blog called "The Big Style Icon Hunt" and this girl stole my idea and did the exact same thing on her blog. I'm sorry this happened to you..it feels quite disappointing when you've worked hard on something which is your original idea and someone just steals it without even asking
But if you try to find something positive in all of it: she loved your idea so much that she wanted it herself..you could look at that as a big compliment ;)

I'm sorry this happened to you. Especially since you spent so much time on it. I've had little things that i've said/made taken and it hurts, especially when you don't get credit for your hard work.
look it's ok! don't get mad- i don't know the girl- i rather like her blog. but what YOU did was really big, i mean compare +contrast the numbers. i know that she is currently in hospital, so with all the respect i don't think you picked the right time to do so.
in any case of course you're right but you know somtimes people do things without a second thought (talking about miss at la playa) and this reaction of yours was rather aggresive.
hope you understand what i wanna say and don't misunderstand me.

well, i think that is really mean. it would be a really good idea to tm it!! but on the plus side, your blog and YOUR idea the FBAs are so famous that most people will know she's a copy cat. it's especially lame that she also copied all the design etc. she could've at least TRIED to disguise it a little.

Well I'm a regular reader of MATP and I love her blog.
I did notice that it was very much the same idea as yours but I think this is taking it a little far publicly ousting her in front of everyone.
Maybe would have been a little more digified to send her an email as this post kind of undermines the reputation of the rest of her blog content which is otherwise great.
Having said that, I completely appreciate how you feel because I know you put a bloody awful amount of time and effort into it all.
But please, let's all be nice, here!

That is SO annoying. I feel for you. You spend hours and hours to put together a stupendous post but to have someone spending only freaking seconds to steal your work and posting as her own... I would FREAK. Obviously she doesn't have any respect for other people's hard work, and that alone deserves to be reprimanded. No Ms. Nice to stupidity, I say.

Imitation is the best form of flattery, your idea rocked and we all loved it. Maybe she too loved your idea so much that she wanted to do the same for non-english speaking readers, which is actually a nice thing done with good intentions but she still definitely should have credited you as you came up with the idea in the first place.
^^^ I agree with Alis. Your idea totally rocked and I hate that this happened to you! I'm glad you were able to communicate with her and kinda patch things up! Let's hope this never happens again!!!
