CATCH UP WEEK

I've been in Sydney for the last week, it was a pretty average trip things didn't go right from the start when the baggage system failed in Melbourne and I didn't get my bag for 3 days ( including probably 1500 other people). Having to wear my undies inside out in hot weather wasn't exactly the way I wanted it to go, but what can you do. QANTAS SUCKS, they didn't even apologize!
Anyway I'm glad to be back!
On a side note, a few of you on my last post seem to have been taken aback by my distaste for Luella's collection, normally I love her stuff, while it was unique, I still think it was a shit collection that didn't make any sense.

UGLY BETTY IS BACK ON...the first episode was so heart wrenching with Hilda dreaming about Santos, they really played a mind trick on us. I love Vanessa Williams, thank god she's got something going on besides those pro-active ads.

Nicole Richie in the fall issue of Citizen K, I really like the two last pictures and that belt is stunning!

How can she wear heels like that? I've always wanted to be able to wear heels (considering I'm short) but I've been cursed with flat painful feet.


Which bikini do you like better? I'm partial to the red one, it's more modest, the green one looks a little too trashy for somebody that's going to be a mother.

I had to give praise to my boys Dean and Dan from my home and native land, Canadiana!

I absolutely love Dsquared! I had to post this picture from their Canadian inspired collection in 2004, I love how they mix humor with fashion in such a seamless way.

Literally what a surprise, I didn't expect Rihanna at the Dsquared show in Milan let alone walking the runway. She sure has the height of a model but she looked very nervous walking the runway, still good job Riri!
The Dsquared collection was very glamorous, I like how they keep it fresh and different with every collection. I liked it, but I did not love it, one thing Dsquared does understand is a woman's body, the cuts of the bikinis are absolutely perfect!

I gasped when I saw Matthew Williamson's tribal collection, now this is what Luella wishes she would have done. It's so bright and funky and I love all the patterns, he's right on point with all the latest trends and still has his signature detailing. I wish I could afford anything from this collection, it's one of my favorites that I've seen in a while.

I'm catching up with all my favorite celebs, though I like Sienna's outfit, it's her hair that struck me. It makes me wish the voltage on my large barrel crimper worked here in Australia, but unfortunately I'm going to have to wait till I go back home to Canada to use it again.

I love how the twins share clothes, Ashley wore that leather Jacket Mary-Kate is wearing earlier this year when MK was doing the old lady look, how can I forget. Stylish as usual ladies!

This dress was a nice surprise from Lauren Conrad, she normally wears solid pieces. She looks beautiful and sun kissed in this dress, I hope she keeps this up!

Mischa Mischa, I still say your an attention whore but at least you have good reason, your outfits are hot. Her scarf is genius, she makes me want to run to Salvo's (Aussie salvation army) and look for one that is similar, but I think what's really working for her is her dark hair.

She looks so old Hollywood with her hair pulled back that way.

Rachel makes me want to lose 10 pounds now! I've been contemplating this lemon-pepper-water- maple syrup diet Ashanti is raving about but I don't know if I could last that long without solid food.

Omigosh isn't Rachel's sister cute? She's like a mini her!

Ouch, I've been so busy the last few days I've had a friend staying with us from back home who is driving me a bit bonkers, and I've had to play tour guide as well. I've managed to pull myself a way, breath for a minute and catch up with this weeks fashions.

Mr Bigg and Carrie were spotted still going strong on the sex and the city movie set, I love Carrie's outfit, FLORALS ARE THE NEXT BIG THING...TREND ALERT! Who is going to see this movie? I totally will, but mainly for the fashions!

Isn't Heidi the hottest mom? She's totally taunting me with those fringe boots! That's definitely on my shopping list, yes shopping rehab didn't go as well as I planned.

A small Celebrity style for Joy Bryant, she's such a stunning girl but her style is sort of stuck in the middle. I would like to see some big improvements from her in the future, but she's on the right track.

I don't understand the Luella collection, it's so inconsistent some of it is good and some outfits are just plain bad. I also don't understand what she did with some of the models hair, it looks terrible and there's nothing fashionable about it. I do like the geeky glasses though, but it seems as though every second designer is using them.

KATE MOSS

The Kate Moss fall collection for Topshop arrived last week, upon inspecting the pictures I don't think it's as strong as her spring summer one, but I can tell that they are still consistent with one another which I can appreciate. I have some pieces that I absolutely love, that the first dress on the left and some that I would never wear like that pink vest in the picture on the right. Kate will always be a fashion icon and you can really tell that her collections have been inspired by her own closet and attire. I'm still longing to own something from her collection as a keepsake, I might do some digging around for that blue dress cause it's timeless and chic.

I never realized how DIFFICULT it would be to find a picture of Kate Moss in real life standing straight and looking relatively at the camera. In the gazillion pictures taken by this woman it always looks like she's ducking or running away from the paparazzi so these are some of the best I could come up with in the time I was allowing myself. I really wanted to showcase her style, but I didn't have the patience to look for pictures where she was standing up properly like a lady, and she's a model! (though I do understand the pressures of cameras following you everywhere)

EMMYS

Wow, what a drastic improvement with the Emmys, everybody looks so beautiful and there were hardly any mistakes. The color scheme was pretty much fall oriented with burgundy, plumbs and purples, which makes these celebrities look very glamorous.


Hayden: When did she get so fashionable? She use to dress so badly, she must have hired a stylist. She looks like a doll in this picture, my only concern is that it looks as if this dress is drowning her.

Heidi: I can't say anything wrong about this outfit, she's the hottest mom around and I can't wait for the new season of project runway!

Kimora: I love this color on her so much, and with her hair being really casual she looks really sweet.

Kristen: This dress is my dream dress, and the cut of it is so flattering on so many figures.

America: One of my favorite dresses of the evening, she knows what looks best on her figure and the belt is the perfect accent.

Christina: I'm normally soso about her outfits, but you can't deny that the girl has her own style even when she's rocking the baby bump. I'm glad she wore her hair up, makes her look very sophisticated.

Debra: She seems to do the whole Black & White thing a lot, but it works especially with her red hair, very Audry Hepburn.

Ellen: Gorgeous dress, it fits her so beautifully, and I also love that she paired it with a belt, makes it look more original.

Kate: She's lucky she's got the body for this dress cause it would highlight your every flaw! I think the dress is hot, but I don't like her makeup too matchy matchy with the dress.

Katherine: Pretty, but she looks like a bride.

Eva: I absolutely love it, sophisticated but fun. I always wanted to wear a glittery dress like this but I'm not sure if I would have the guts!

Terry: I think the dress is pretty, really in line with the whole ballerina pastel colors but I've been seeing, but upon closer inspection it looks like her boobs were squished into this dress, not hot.

Felicity: Wow all the Desperate housewives are looking great, and she is no exception. She looks so amazing in this cut and color.

Marcia: Another one of my favorite dresses of the night, I wish I could get married in it!

Ellen and Portia: They are both so hot! I wish Ellen didn't wear that thing around her neck though, but I can tell she's trying to be a little more feminine to complement Portia. The color of Portia's dress is to die for, I also love the neckline. Sparkle!

Sandra: My fellow Canadian, I couldn't say anything bad about her, this dress suits her body perfectly, and I like that she wore her hair down for once.

Becky: Girl, you have to tell me how you walk in that dress. The top half of the dress is stunning, not sure sure about the fish tail bottom.

Helen: God I hope that when I'm that age I look that good and that I'm still into fashion. She is seriously my inspiration right now for when get older, well her and Tina Turner.

Vanessa: You took my breath away in Dance with me, now look at you still going strong! Why did you have to wear that bird dress though? I don't completely hate it, cause the color is pretty.

Jamie: That dress reminds me of something Cate Blanchett would wear, but it's stunning none the less, one of my favorites of the night.

Jamie Lynn: I love this dress on her, and again going with the whole ballerina look I just wish she had not worn those big earrings with such a delicate dress. Now that I think about it, I'd like to see her hair pulled back in a very sleek pony tail.

Jenna: This gown is pretty average to me, compared to the others and her hair looks too....ugh can't put my finger on it.

Jennifer: Is it just me or does she always look the same at events? I wish she was more original with her choice of attire and I don't like the necklace with this gown.

Lisa: I know this girl thinks she's sexy and all that, but her lips really take that appeal away from her. Did she get them done or were they always like that? It's an okay dress.

Rebecca: Again, another person dong the ballerina thing, but this dress is unique and stunning. I wish she had worn her hair straight, I don't even know what she looks like with straight hair, she needs to shock us!

Sara: She could not have picked a better color for her skin tone, amazing!

Minnie: What was she doing at the Emmys? I nearly gasped when I saw her in this gorgeous yellow gown, looking every inch the movie star without being one.

Chandra: First off, I love love love her hair, it suits her and her dress so well, she is looking so adorable.
