Halston" was the
deisigner of the 70s, his dresses were worn at studio 54 by the likes of
Bianca Jagger, Lizza Minnelli, Anjelica Houston, Elizabeth taylor, Jackie O as well as many others. In the early 80s he licensed himself to
JC Penny, which was not taken to lightly. Back in the 80s making designer clothing the the masses as looked down upon and not appreciated like it is today.
Halston got into heavy drug use and in 1984 he was fired from his own company. Unfortunately in 1990 he died from Lung cancer due to complications from AIDS.

- Halston is the second biggest selling perfume of all time.
- In the Sex and the City episode Politically Erect, when Carrie starts dating politician Bill Kelley, she starts wearing vintage Halston as an homage to Jackie O.
