FASHION NEWS:

Project Runway will have a crop of Celebrity cameos: Diane Von Furstenberg, Sandra Bernhard, Apolo Ohno, Brooke Shields, LL Cool J, RuPaul, Rachel Zoe, Cynthia Rowley and Francisco Costa will take to the panel for ProRun.

The fifth season of Project Runway premieres Wednesday at 9 p.m.

"CW unveiled its new show "Stylista" which stars Elle fashion news director Anne Slowey and creative director Joe Zee. The network described the show as "'The Devil Wears Prada' reinvented as a reality series." Eleven young contestants will compete for a junior editor position at the magazine. Viewers who watched early clips released on YouTube pointed out Slowey's hyperstylized appearance akin to Meryl Streep's character in the movie, and its campy take on fashion. Zee, however, was confident about the show's appeal. "There definitely will be a lot of people watching the show to play along. That's the great thing about reality shows — you want to make the audience want to have that participation, as in 'I would have done that challenge like this.'"

Victoria Beckham is out of luck with her jeans according to dailymail.co.uk. The fashionista wanted to come out with a line of men's jeans, but she could not find any retailers to stock them.

Victoria is also launching her first ready to wear line for NY fashion week in September.

Canadian model 18 year old Diana Gabrielle O'Brien was murdered in Shanghai, China.

Chen Jun was arrested early Friday in Xuancheng City in Anhui province after confessing to the murder and now faces the death penalty.

"Police said Chen admitted to following O'Brien to her apartment with the intention of robbing her. He said he killed her after a struggle.
The statement also said police have recovered a laptop and Canadian currency that had been taken from O'Brien's apartment."

"O'Brien was in Shanghai on a contract with China's JH Model Agency. She had told friends that she was unhappy in the country and was cutting her contract short to come back to Canada."

She was unhappy with her Chinese agency because the jobs mostly involve being a bar dancer, instead of modelling as she was lead to believe. She had only been there two weeks.

"With the Olympics right around the corner in China, this comes as great shame to a nation who likes to pride itself on the safety of foreigners. The Liv Tyler lookalike was apparently unhappy with the limited modeling prospects that were presented to her. She was relegated to go-go-girl type work by the "agency" who recruited her on the internet from the small town of Saltspring Island, BC in Canada. "She thought that was weird . . . the agency had her dancing on the podiums." Actually, it's very "weird" to hear that a Canuck would be subjected to such requests."

Wow that is exciting, I think you will love London.
And september is a great time because the shops will be filled with amazing Fall collections.
I think the UK high-street is a lot better at Fall than Spring.

Feel free to email me if you want tips.

What's weird to me about that model's story is that she was recruited from the internet. I've never heard of that happening. Does that happen a lot? I thought people were picked off the streets and things of that nature.
