JOVOVICH-HAWK FALL 2008

They've stepped a bit away from the boho chic clothes that made them famous, but yet have still managed to retain the essence of Jovovich-Hawk. I absolutely adore this collection there isn't a single piece I would not wear. I like that the clothes are flattering for many body types. What I also like is that their collection isn't ridiculously expensive, but yes you certainly have to save. I could not believe when I heard that they were coming out with a collection for Tarrrgeet Boutique. We don't have Target here in Canada which is unfortunate. I heard they tried to buy out Zellers, I'm glad they didn't, because it's one of the few truly Canadian companies left. I made myself better, buy scoring a dress on eBay. (pictured below)

I don't think all the pieces worked, they probably should have left the t-shirts out I didn't find them all that cute. To each their own...

I'm wanting to score that last dress on eBay too.

I'm really happy for this girl. I know a lot of people dog her, but I believe she really loves fashion. her style maybe on the safe side, but maybe she just likes being classic. I'm glad wide leg jeans are back, Lauren is totally working it.

Lauren's collection was of no surprise to me since I saw it online ages ago, but I think the runway looks were well put together. In comparison to the other collections I saw at LA fashion week, Lauren's was one of the better ones. You can't deny that her clothes are wearable.

STEP 10: INVITE YOUR EX WHO DOESN'T LOOK SO HOT ANYMORE.

What happened to Stephen? Didn't he use to be good looking? These cropped pictures don't do the fugness justice. He's one of those people that looks okay for from far or on tv, but up close it could use some work. Maybe Hayden sucked the hot right out of him.

I'm not sure if Kathy Hilton has had anything done, cause girl is looking good. Whomever her doctor is he or she is doing a good job, her face looks natural to me. Maybe it's just the picture...

PRESENT: NICHOLAI This is almost worse then the Chick by Nicky Hilton collection. The clothes look soooo cheap and poorly fabricated. I would not even attach my name to this...is she blind? Has she been to a Paris, London or Milan fashion show?

The pants in the first picture look really poorly constructed and the red top looks like something you could get at Wal-Mart, not even Target is worthy of this. The only item I liked when looking at the whole collection is this black and white dress in the last picture. I also have to say, a few of the models look beat.

SOME OF THE OTHER DESIGNERS

IMASU BY KELLY NISHIMOTO This look using velvet reminds me of something Christopher Kane would do. I thought all the collections were pretty average, but that's usually the way with MB fashion week.

FALGUNI & SHANE PEACOCK

I thought this was one of the better executed collections, they actually put work into it. It's refreshing considering a lot of the collections at MB fashion week look so thrown together.

JULIA CLANCEY

The presentation is very very weak.

WHITLEY KROS The over all look was well put together, and some of their clothes I would wear. The entire collection wasn't good though, there were some pieces that definitely had to go.

ALEXIS LAMONTAGNA

I like the structure of the clothes, she's on the right path.

This kid is going to give the Sweedish guy a run for his money in a few years.

MILEY CYRUS

Is it halloween? I'm not sure if that jumper is orange or red, but it looks orange so I'll go with the latter. I hate orange and black together, reminds me too much of that time of the year. Ps. Somebody needs to tell Miley that Lalala Lohan did the peace sign already.


SAMANTHA MUMBA IS THAT YOU?

Where has my little Irish beauty been all this time? I still love that "Baby come on over tonight" song! Anyway since this is about fashion I have to say, I don't mind the cheetah print top, but the jeans and shoes have got to go! Maybe she can exchange them with Britney for a cheeto.

CHARLIZE THERON IS NOW AMERICAN

She got her American citizenship a few days ago. I think it's kinda sad that in America you can't have duel citizenship and you have to 'renounce' your old one. So not hot. First Mischa now her? What's wrong with your homelands? Yeah I get a little fired up about these subjects.

Whomever her stylist is, her or she is doing a great job. What a transformation!

GISELE AND TOM BRADY LOOK ALIKE

Don't these two look like they could be brother and sister? I don't get it. It reminds me of that German couple who are brother and sister that had 4 kids together and two of them are now handicapped. So wrong. Read here.
