SHOPPING
I went a little MAC crazy today, I was going in to replace my blush and came out with extra stuff. Why is it that the people in there act so fake all the time, I especially hate the fake smiles quite irritating!I actually want to know has any body ever had a problem with the top part of the blush container caving in? This is the third time it's happened to me, it makes the blush a waste because then I have to get a new one. Why is their makeup so expensive, but they put it in cheap containers? I asked the girl about it, and she tried to understand what I was saying, but came up pretty clueless (lots of works like "Oh ya" "Like" "Omigod"). Anyway this time I'm going to try to be extra gentle so that the clear part doesn't cave in. I also got a smokey eye liner (I'm into that again) and the lipbalm tint. I definitely recommend the lipbalm tint, it's so much better then I expected and the color lasts for hours.
REMEMBER: They give free samples out at MAC if you just ask. I suggest going for the pigment eyeshadows because you can get so much use out of what they give you verses lipgloss which is one application.

RANDOM POST
I went shopping at the new Sephora store today, thanks to my sweet boyfriend giving me a gift card. It's been a while since I've shopped for makeup, which strange. Ever since I knew what makeup was I was putting it on my dolls since my mother would not let me wear it myself. I use to spend every dime I had on nail polish, lipsticks and glittery things. It seems in recent years my appreciation for makeup has dropped off mainly do to the fact that I started wearing my glasses more often as my eyes got more and more irritated from wearing contacts. Lately though, I've gone back to wearing my contacts more, which has once again opened myself to eye grooming (Mascara, brows, shadow, liner etc). My most treasured items though have always been my lip glosses. If I use to forget my gloss before my shift in retail I would run down to the pharmacy to buy a new one straight away. Many glosses have gone and gone from my purse, but some have stuck around longer then others.
SOME OF THE GLOSSES I'VE TRIED
1. Lancome Juicy tubes - I got my first tube from uncles wife for free that use to work at the Lancome counter. It was a small size, but I was immediately impressed by the nice consistency and glitter flecks.
2. M.A.C. Lip Glass - This one let me down. I got it because I wanted to know what all the hype was about surrounding it, only not to be as impressed. Though it was glossy, I found the consistency way to thick and sticky. The worst two things that can happen to a gloss!
3. Lip Lites - My first ever lipgloss/lipstick, it's been years since I used it, but I remember always being put off by the candy smells.
4. Rimmel Vinyl Lip- One of the first good clear glosses that I found, it had a good smooth consistency and it wasn't too sticky.
5. Victoria's Secret Lip Gloss - Very glossy! I only got this one recently, the sales clerk warned me not to buy it in chocolate, but I did anyway and regretted it. I never used that particular one again. I did also buy the clear mint one, which is too minty and makes my lips hurt for a second. They seem to have gone overboard on the flavoring/scents.
6. Sephora Lip Gloss - I bought this one today, I was debating between that one and the Clinique one. I ended up leaving the Clinique gloss behind because I didn't quite like the shade. At 18$ the Sephora one wasn't cheap, but when I got home and tired it on I was impressed. It had good color, texture and it wasn't sticky. For a color lipgloss this is probably one of the better ones I've tried. I find it strange how expensive the Sephora brand stuff is here. When I was in Paris it was so cheap, shadow was like 5 Euros or something.

RANDOM/ SKIN CARE
Today as I browse the mall I've decided that I need a black vest like Kate Moss has in this picture, I wish I had smaller breasts...it would make it easier to wear cute tops. Doesn't Mary-Kate look stunning in the second picture? It was taken a few years ago, but I think she looked her best there, I've never seen her looking more beautiful.
With the likes of Cory Kennedy, the whole "drugged out" "Heroin chic" trend seems to have gotten to Lindsay, but I'm digging it for some reason, I guess it suits her personality and per predicament. I've been looking everywhere for a plaid shirt like Ashley is wearing in the last pic, that's another thing I'll be searching for at the mall today!
Are sweats still "in?", were they not out for a while? Well the girl in the first picture is certainly bringing them back, I adore them on her and it looks hip fun and comfortable. There's nothing like a cute graphic T-shirt and comfy clean sweat pants to run errands or go to the grocery store. I think the girl in the last picture is Victoria Secret model Selita Ebanks, her outfit is stunning I'm keeping this picture forever as future inspiration. The girl in the third picture better watch her Chanel bag, because I'm coming to steal it.
I've always been asked over the years what my beauty routine was so I've finally decided to share it. I have very dry skin, but in the end it's been beneficial to me because I don't get pimples often at all and I hardly break out as long as I keep taking care of my skin. As I've gotten older I've had to work harder to keep my skin clear so I've enlisted more products other then my usual Clean and Clear deep cleaning astringent. (3)
Me and my boyfriend use clean and clear foaming wash (1) in the shower everyday to get rid of dust and buildup then afterwards we top it off with Clean and Clear deep cleaning astringent (3) which helps fight and prevent pimples. If I'm starting to feel a 'breakout' coming on or my skin isn't looking it's best I use Clean and Clear blackhead cleaner (2) which really scrubs and exfoliates your skin and it leaves it feeling so tingly, then I top it off with some moisturising cream (4).
My makeup basics involves putting cover girl loose powder (1) on everyday because it gives my skin and clean and matte complexion though sometimes it looks a little glittery which is annoying. I've been using this powder for years, one container last nearly a year. Mascara and makeup in general is so expensive in Australia, it costs 19.99 just for Maybelline Great Lash (2) so I'm always waiting for a sale. I top off this quick look with chapStick brand chap stick (3), always reliable.
Normally I use M.A.C. Blush in Ambering rose (1) (not shown) everyday, if I want to amp it up I use M.A.C. shimmery loose eye shadow (2) . I adore cover girl eye liner (4), it's in an easy to use applicator and there's a smudging sponge on the opposite end. The best lip gloss ever? Vaseline (3) of course! I've been known to use Bonnie bell Vita gloss, but sometimes I can't stand the strong smell.
