MILAN FASHION WEEK - SPRING 2009

MONDAY #2

AGATHA RUIZ
DE LA PRADA

Sasha Baron Cohen crashed the Runway in Milan playing Bruno the gay Austrian fashion reporter for his new movie. I was laughing my butt off when I saw this clip on TV, they even turned off the lights and had him taken away by the coppers, he was questioned and released soon after. Go Sasha!

He was totally fierce wasn't he? How did he manage to get backstage?

The show was so colorful, a feast for the eyes. She can't honestly expect anyone to ware that stuff though? Maybe Bjork?

VERSACE
I think Versace hit the nail on the head, love the babydoll look. So many celebrities are going to be wearing these dresses. The hair is sleek, but it still screams Versace through and through.

Love the round Runway.

GUCCI
This reminds me of their previous collection with the geometric patterns, all they did was change the colors. I'm not blown away.

Chanel Iman is the first black girl to walk for Gucci since 2005 when the Tom Ford Era ended. That's far too long, especially for Gucci. Congrats to Chanel!

DSQUARED2
Yay my favorite Canadian cuties Dean and Dan. Probably no doubt the most successful designers to come out of Canada along with Club Monaco & Aldo.

Nobody uses denim as much and in so many different ways as these boys do. I preferred some of their previous collections circa 06/07, but this is still very much Dsquared2.

LOVE SEX MONEY
A lot of work went into making these outfits, the detailing is amazing.I'm particularly fond of the dress on the right, I an picture it on the red carpet.

FENDI

I love the use of pastels with vibrant belts, this is one of my favorite collections. Fendi rarely disappoints.

DOLCE AND GABBANA

I'm not sure if anybody could pull off the diaper bottom swimsuit but this model.

FALLING AT PRADA

Poor girls, sometimes the designers go too far.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
MARC JACOBS SPRING 2009

I know this is old, but I really just posted it for my own benefit since I missed it while I was away. As always with Marc Jacobs his presentation is everywhere, but it's the individual pieces that count.

MARC BY MARC JACOBS
SPRING 2009
For me this is the collection that counts because chances are I will try and own two or three pieces from it. Of course I'm waiting for sales at Holt Renfrew.

I do love the blazer in the middle, I'll be eyeing it for sure.

Backstage at Marc by Marc Jacobs

JENNIFER LOPEZ AND VB attend the Marc Jacobs show in New York. I can't believe VB got a new hair cut while I was away.

AROUND MILAN
ROBERTO CAVALLI AND KELLY ROWLAND. This hair style is perfect for Kelly, I hope she keeps it that way. her style also seems to have gone up a few notches the last month or so.

MARY-KATE OLSEN Arriving in Milan. This is my favorite look from her in a long time, the leggings, ankle boots and coat are perfection.

RIHANNA front row at Gucci, she's a hot mess.

She may be a hot mess, but Riri and Gucci were made to be hand in hand.

MISCHA BARTON working the Charlie Chaplin hat shopping in Milan.

ANNA WINTOUR And her maid Vogue Editor at large Leon Talley.
