SOMEBODY DARES TO ASKS THE QUESTION

It's not like you can break a bone in the swimming pool! My boyfriend's sister was a National gymnast in Australia who had pretty much broken every bone in her body throughout her career. So please, give me a break. I think somebody else would be much more deserving of the title. I know A LOT of people will disagree, and I already know what your going to say bla bla bla. I'm Canadian so i'm biased.

Aw, shucks. I think we should be kind and be happy for someone who has achieved something great. :-) He has devoted his whole life to this (definitely sacrificing a normal life) and is not responsible for the labels other people stick on him or media overkill or whatever. A lot of people never fulfill their potential and at least he worked to fulfill his.
Can I be bored of the Olympics already?? To be honest, I much prefer the winter version, with all the ice skating!
^ Afree!
Confession - I gave up my Olympic ban and have been hooked! Even saw the mens 8 rowing race which Canada won!!!
Phelps has worked hard and it is no mean feat but he does have the body type and with swimming it is train train train - you'll get there.
he has the longest body i have ever seen. some people call it freakish, some call it lucky, but in the end, it's the commitment he made that got him where he is, not his long body or huge feet. he deserved his medals. his was an awesome performance.
I think Usain Bolt could beat him (Phelps) to the title of greatest Olympians of all time.
^ I know seriously! He deserves his medals and i don't dispute that he works hard, but i don't think he's the 'greatest olympian of all time'
